How Barcelona are expected to line up at Espanyol, where they can win the title this weekend.

The four-year wait to become champions of Spain is almost over for Barcelona, who can seal the title on Sunday at rivals Espanyol.

Xavi's men will win La Liga if both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid drop points earlier in the weekend, or if they go out and claim three points themselves.

It's a little more likely that it will be down to the latter - La Liga's top three are playing against the bottom three, so Barça can't really expect any favours.

Here's how La Blaugrana could line up at RCDE Stadium.

Barcelona predicted lineup vs Espanyol

GK: Marc-Andre ter Stegen - Needs just one more clean sheet to tie La Liga's record for most in a season. The German currently has a staggering 25 to his name.

RB: Jules Kounde - Barcelona mortgaging their future to secure the signings of the likes of Kounde may actually yield a title immediately. Joan Laporta, you diabolical.

CB: Ronald Araujo - One of the best defenders in the world when he's fit, and luckily has managed to come through 2023 unscathed thus far.

LB: Alejandro Balde - Jordi Alba scored the winner against a stubborn Osasuna in Barcelona's last match but they had been ground down by the energetic Balde, who is quickly establishing himself as one of Spain's brightest prospects.

DM: Sergio Busquets - Announced in midweek that he will be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season. He'll likely end his stay as a champion.

CM: Frenkie de Jong - So often hailed as the long-term successor to Busquets despite playing a completely different role to the club captain all season long.

CM: Pedri - What do you mean Pedri hasn't chalked up an assist this season?

RW: Raphinha - Angrily retorted on Instagram to suggestions that he has approved of Barcelona shopping him around this summer. Understandable.

CF: Robert Lewandowski - A poor run of scoring form in 2023 means that Karim Benzema (17) is only two goals behind Lewandowski (19) in the race for the Pichichi Trophy.

LW: Ousmane Dembele - The Frenchman is expected to come in for Gavi after picking up an injury against Osasuna.
