The Magic Mirror grants the option to change character appearances in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's what we know about it so far.

According to Larian Studios' Director of Publishing, one of the most requested features from Baulder's Gate 3 players is to change their Tav's appearances. When a user on X begged the Director for character customization, he responded, "Things are being cooked," implying the feature would be added soon. It's finally happening, thanks to the Magic Mirror coming in Patch 3.

The Magic Mirror will allow players to change their looks when the upcoming patch is released. The patch was initially scheduled to come out today but has been delayed to Sept. 22 "to ensure thorough testing."

There's one post on X that briefly covers what players can expect from the Magic Mirror, though there aren't many details. The mirror will be located at the camp and will have some limitations.

Gamers won't be able to change the appearance of Origins, pre-made characters with their own background stories. Tav races and body types also cannot be altered. However, players will be able to change the appearances, voices, and pronouns of their Tavs.

There's more to come with Patch 3! Mac users will also have full support to play the game. Mac players with early access should follow this pre-launch guide before playing the full version of Bauldur's Gate 3.
