Things haven't been looking too peachy for Babylon's Fall. The hack and slash game from PlatinumGames received a generally negative reception at launch, with players citing the uncompelling gameplay and awkward art style among many of their complaints.

Even at its peak Babylon's Fall wasn't pulling in the numbers, with its highest concurrent player count on Steam reaching 1166. But, as of last week that number fell dramatically - to just one player. The number was first reported by VGC.

It's important to note that the game was also released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but concurrent player counts aren't as easy to track. Though, there's a good chance the game's success on consoles hasn't been much better than PC.

Babylon's Fall was published by Square Enix, but even with the company's name behind it, the game struggled to gain a lot of traction. When the game was initially teased at E3 2018, players were intrigued by what they saw. But, at E3 2021, a new gameplay trailer was shown and the game repackaged as live service.

The changes that people saw between trailers weren't met with much enthusiam and, come the game's release, that didn't seem to change.

Despite its shakey reception, PlatinumGames have revealed that they still plan to support the game's development.
