Apple is reportedly working on a brand new version of the iPad Pro, but you’re going to have to wait until 2024 to see it.

In his weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says the iPad Pro is getting its first major overhaul in five years. The new models—currently code-named J717, J718, J720, and J721—will all use M3 chips and have OLED displays, the same screens that Apple has used on the iPhone since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017.

According to Gurman, the new tablets will be available in 11- and 13-inch sizes and will possibly have a revamped Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad, which could make using them a bit more like typing on a traditional laptop.

Gurman notes that iPad sales have stalled across the company’s product line, in part because the tablets haven’t seen many major updates with recent releases, causing potential customers to wait on upgrading their devices. Tablet sales across manufacturers have slowed post-pandemic, so an updated product line has a chance of capturing some of those customers.

Apple’s next big announcements are expected on Sept. 12 with the launch the iPhone 15 and next-gen Apple Watch. If rumors are true, pre-orders for the devices are expected to start on Sept. 15 ahead of a Sept. 22 rollout.

The newest version of the iPhone is expected to swap the notch for a Dynamic Island across all models, charge via USB-C, and include a smaller bezel than previous models.
