Super Mario Bros. Wonder is definitely worth replaying. Find out what makes it so great!

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Overall, it’s a highly replayable game with various features that appeal to different players. But what exactly makes the platformer replay-worthy?

Analyzing Super Mario Bros. Wonder's Replay Value

Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s fun gameplay is the most obvious reason why most people would want to replay it. However, several more factors make Super Mario Bros. Wonder replayable. Those aspects are character choices, secrets, multiplayer modes, speedruns, and Badge challenges.

Characters Choices

There are 12 playable characters to choose from in this Mario title. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad, and Toadette all play the same and don’t have special perks.

All four Yoshis and Nabbit cannot take damage. The dinosaurs can also flutter jump and spit out objects. This group of characters cannot transform with power-ups, though.

Consider switching your character to make your second playthrough easier or harder.

Secrets

It’s easy to miss things in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Many levels have extra Wonder Seeds and Flag Poles to discover. You won’t know if you’ve completed a stage until you see a green check.

Some levels also appear under certain circumstances. For example, you must complete a stage to unlock another or reach a particular area to reveal a level. In other words, you may discover something new during your second Super Mario Bros. Wonder playthrough!

Multiplayer Modes

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a fun single-player game, but it’s much more exciting with friends. Think about doing a local co-op playthrough after completing the game yourself. Hilarious moments are unavoidable when playing with others.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder also offers online play where people can play with others from all over the world. You can save each other from dying, share items, communicate with emoticons, and more!

Speedruns

If you’re interested in playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder again, add a little spice to your gameplay with speedrunning. Whether you’re a professional or a newbie, the latest Mario title challenges everyone.

Mario games, in general, are a popular pick for speedrunners. Super Mario 64 is about 12 hours long, but expert speedrunners can beat it in just over one hour and 30 minutes. The play style is a great way to test your skills and learn the ins and outs of any game!

Badge Challenges

Super Mario Bros. Wonder allows you to pick Badges that give special abilities to players. Each of the 24 Badges comes in one of three categories: Action, Boost, and Expert. Action Badges enhance your abilities, Boost Badges grant passive powers, and Expert Badges make gameplay harder.

You can make your second playthrough harder by sticking with one Badge for the entire game. Expert Badges are for those who want a true challenge. They’re the hardest to obtain and the most difficult to get used to. For example, Spring Feet makes the player bounce nonstop.

Make things more complicated by unequipping all Badges when you play. You can do this by pressing “R” while a level is loading and pressing “X” to remove a Badge.
