SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO: A new video has emerged showing Alexee Trevizo with a huge baby bump as she does her routine cheerleading. The teen mom is facing murder charges for dumping her infant son after giving birth in a hospital. The video is from three weeks before the alleged murder took place as she is accused of secretly giving birth and putting the newborn in a trash can. Trevizo claims that her family was unaware, including her, that she was pregnant. The incident was reported from Artesia General Hospital in New Mexico on January 27.

The video obtained by the Daily Mail shows Trevizo visibly pregnant with a round belly. She can be seen walking slowly across the court, and repeatedly pulling her shirt down. It is reported that she broke down when police questioned her while trying to get rid of her son’s body. A staffer found the infant boy soon after noticing blood on the can. He was already dead by the time she got him, as per the police report.

'Nothing was crying'

The autopsy ruled the infant died due to lack of oxygen. When questioned by police, Trevizo claimed it was a stillborn baby. “Nothing was crying,” she cried. Her mother then turns towards her and says, “I told you about this,” referring to similar cases of teenagers going to jail for abandoning their babies. The conversation was recorded on a police cam. The bodycam footage shows the moment a doctor told Trevizo and her mother, “We discovered a dead baby in the bathroom.” At that time Trevizo said: “I'm sorry, it came out of me and I didn't know what to do... I was just scared, it was not crying or nothing.”

'I didn't know she was pregnant'

Rosa Rodriguez, Alexee’s mother later claimed, “I didn't know she was pregnant.” Meanwhile, the family's attorney, Gary Mitchell said, “This child did not cause the death of this baby. She did not know that she was pregnant.”

Alexee Trevizo, who lives in New Mexico, was taken to the hospital by her mother after she complained about back pain. In the hospital, Trevizo learned about her pregnancy. At present, she's out on a bond of $100,000 and has been allowed to complete the school year without an ankle monitor or house arrest, as she awaits trial in September.
